'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier' First Official Trailer Teases Exciting Action and Spectacle
Marvel Studios released the first official trailer for “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” during the Disney Investors Day 2020 virtual event today.
This trailer gives us our first full look at the upcoming Marvel Disney+ series following Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/The Falcon and Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier.
This marks the first time Disney has given us a glimpse of the show since the brief 30-second Disney+ Super Bowl spot back in February.
The series will follow the events of “Avengers: Endgame” in the year 2023 with Sam Wilson having been given the shield and new mantle of Captain America following Steve Rogers’ retirement.
Sam must team up with Bucky Barnes as they run from the authorities as wanted war criminals and violators of the Sokovia Accords following their involvement on Team Cap during “Captain America: Civil War.” Along the way, they must fight a new global threat in this espionage action-thriller series.
“The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” will not only see the return of the titular duo but will feature the reprisal of Daniel Bruhl as main antagonist Helmut Zemo and Emily VanCamp as former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Sharon Carter, as well as the debut appearance Wyatt Russell as John Walker/U.S. Agent in a supporting role.
